The Finance Group of Parking Operations is seeking to hire one (1) detail oriented and organized Principal Administrative Associate Level 2 to supervise and support the Prepaid Parking/Customer Service Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the processing of wallet closure refunds, verifying customer information, identifying fraudulent activity, and supporting the customer service team with accurate and timely information.
Under direction, and with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative, the Refund Supervisor will be responsible for performing tasks including but not limited the following:
-Maintain a comprehensive spreadsheet tracking customer data related to ParkNYC refund notices. -Oversee and assist with the timely processing of refund packages. -Review and proofread wallet closure refund documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. -Identify and escalate duplicate notices or discrepancies in customer data. -Communicate with customers via phone and email to obtain or verify missing information. -Investigate refund requests flagged for potential fraud or suspicious activity. -Ensure all refund calculations and approvals are accurate and compliant. -Supervise the entry of verified refund details into the Customer Care Portal. -Review and approve the preparation of refund packages submitted to the Fiscal Unit. -Maintain accurate records in the Check Refund and Returned Checks spreadsheets. -Develop and manage a tracking system for all processed wallet closures. -Research and resolve refund-related inquiries or issues. -Conduct chargeback investigations by analyzing documentation and account history. -Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc reports as needed.

Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or 2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in "1" above; or 3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in "1" above; 4. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in "1" above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in "1" above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3 years.
