Job Description Summary

The Director of IT Procurement will lead and optimize our North American procurement strategy for all IT hardware, software, and services. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's technology needs by managing vendor relationships, negotiating large-scale enterprise agreements, and ensuring procurement aligns with business and IT priorities. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in fast-paced environments and are driven to leverage technology to enhance operational efficiency and foster innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for IT categories including hardware (laptops, servers, networking equipment) and software (enterprise licenses, SaaS, cloud services, cybersecurity tools).

  • Lead vendor evaluations, RFPs, and contract negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and service levels.

  • Monitor and manage vendor performance, risk, and compliance across IT spend.

  • Partner closely with IT leadership, finance, legal, program management and business unit stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with organizational goals.

  • Act as a strategic advisor on technology purchasing decisions and licensing models.

  • Lead governance and procurement policy adherence

  • Assist in the creation of the IT procurement budget; identify cost savings and value creation opportunities across the portfolio.

  • Ensure accurate financial forecasting, reporting, and lifecycle asset planning for IT assets.

  • Develop procurement processes and systems that enable scalability, efficiency, and transparency.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, cybersecurity standards, and vendor due diligence requirements.

  • Manage team through the tactical execution of procurement process.

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT procurement, including enterprise-level hardware and software sourcing.

  • Proven experience negotiating multi-million-dollar software licenses, cloud/SaaS agreements, and hardware contracts.

  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, IT asset lifecycle management, and licensing models (Microsoft, Oracle, AWS, etc.).

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Cloud Procurement).

  • Travel as needed to support supplier relationships, field operations, and industry conferences (estimated 5-20%)

Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree or MBA.

  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS)

  • Experience in a multi-location environment, ideally within logistics, construction, or rental industries.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $127,760.00 - 175,670.00
