JLL has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Chief Engineer at a beautiful 1 million square foot campus in Jacksonville, FL. This onsite position with no travel requirements offers the chance to lead and direct daily Static Engineering Services operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective service delivery to clients and building occupants.

As Senior Chief Engineer, you will manage a team of 13 engineers, providing direct support to field operations while tracking and reporting on performance metrics. Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving timecards and P-Card purchases, ensuring adherence to work order SLAs, and actively participating in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding engineering talent. This role is perfect for an experienced engineering leader looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Check out some of your day:

  • Maintain daily working staff levels pursuant to operational goals and facility needs
  • Ensure the engineering staff is qualified and trained to perform duties as Static engineers
  • Identify maintenance objectives and incorporate them into documented plans, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures
  • Identify safety hazards, working closely with EH&S and account management teams to remediate hazards and ensure a safe environment for building staff
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operations
  • Collaborate with Property and Project Management to develop Capital work plans, including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications, to maintain future building capabilities
  • Ensure ACIs (Asset Condition Index) are accurate and kept up to date
  • Provide project support through engineering staff as needed
  • Ensure engineer participation in company purchasing initiatives for parts and materials needed for routine and non-routine tasks
  • Gather information as requested by management for business reporting purposes
  • Perform on-site Quality Assurance inspections of maintained facilities
  • Other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager, Engineering

Here's who will be successful in this role:

Required

  • 5+ years of trade industry training with progressive advancement in one or more areas: advanced troubleshooting, system diagnostics, equipment application, or design engineering
  • Power generation and UPS experience preferred; candidates without this background are encouraged to apply if they demonstrate strong technical aptitude in related systems
  • A Universal EPA/CFC
  • Proficiency with MS Office and CMMSs
  • A valid state-issued driver's license
  • Ability to deliver results through others and manage work, people, and processes from a central location
  • Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Experience managing competing priorities and resource allocation across multiple stakeholder groups while maintaining positive working relationships at all organizational levels, serving as a central coordination point between internal teams and external partners
  • Communication & Technical Expertise: Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences while providing detailed operational guidance to field personnel and managing relationships across the organizational hierarchy

Preferred

  • Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or vocational degree program
  • Supervisory experience in building engineering

Pay $117,000 - 130,000 with a 10% targeted bonus of the annual salary
