GFT is seeking a Sr. Roadway Project Manager to support a variety of projects in the West Region. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Santa Ana office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

This person will be specializing in Highway, Roadway, and ADA Management and Design.

This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated Sr. Roadway Project Manager who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Technical Duties:

  • Management of Geometric Design of Highway, Roadway and ADA project per AASHTO standards.
  • Management of the Preparation of Design plans, cost estimates and specifications for Highway, Roadway, and ADA projects
  • Preparation of Displays and Graphics for client and public meetings.
    3D Project Design and Model Development.
  • Manage the design and development of a complete set of construction documents including the coordination required with other disciplines.
  • Write and prepare Project Specifications.
  • Manage the preparation Construction Cost Estimates.
  • Assist with the Coordination of the technical aspects of projects with Clients.
  • Assist cCoordinating design with Client's Project Manager while maintaining good Client relations.
  • Assist with m Monitoring work of Sub-Consultants to ensure completion of work on time and within budget, including technical review of their work.
  • Assist with r Reviewing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates at various milestones to insure completeness and accuracy of work.

Education | Experience:

What you bring to our firm:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • 5 - 8 Over 15 years of years of experience in Highway, Roadway and ADA management and design, and construction document preparation.
  • PE License.
  • Understanding or Highway Engineering Principles and development for Highway Contract Documents.
  • Solid understanding of project management tools and scheduling such as Microsoft Project.
  • Solid understanding of and experience utilizing CADD software AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microstation.
  • Solid understanding of and experience with InRoads, OpenRoads Designer, AutoTurn, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management and written & oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work through assigned tasks/projects independently and timely.
  • Willingness to work with and learn from Highway teammates of all levels.
  • Design experience with Maryland and/or Delaware state and local agencies.
  • Team oriented and self-motivated.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Compensation:

The Salary range for this position is $144,000-$184,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
