Job Duties



  • Responds to job-related medical emergencies and provides onsite treatment to sick or injured workers, contractors, and visitors.
  • Coordinates transportation of injured patients to hospital via ambulance.
  • Recommends additional or specialized medical treatment when necessary.
  • Promotes and maintains the health and wellness of workers.
  • Provides blood pressure checks and collects drug screen samples in accordance with company policy.
  • Performs office duties pertaining to medical assistance, first aid reports, and work-related medical claims. Assists with work-related medical questions, forms, accident claims, and related paperwork.
  • Identifies hazards in the workplace; recommends ways to reduce and prevent hazardous exposures on the job.
  • Conducts training for first aid, safety, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and health programs.
  • Inspects, maintains and restocks medical supplies and equipment in the first aid department.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industrial safety and medical best practices.
  • Performs duties related to scaling trucks in and out.
  • Performs security duties on the weekends and nights by monitoring traffic in and out of the Mill and actively watching the camera system.
  • Take calls from colleagues that are unable to work and communicate this to the appropriate supervisor. You will also be tasked with making calls to Extra Board colleagues to come in and fill open positions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications



  • High School diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2-4 years of experience.


  • EMS, healthcare experience
  • CPR certification.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.


  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple projects and/or requests concurrently.



Knowledge and Skills Required



  • Ability to administer medical aid in emergency situations.
  • Maintains nursing and Emergency Medical Services credentials.
  • Ability to work in high pressure situations and remain calm in medical emergencies.
  • Extensive knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of workplace hazards and safety risks is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills, and proficient use of Excel, Word and Power Point preferred.
