Your Role on Our Team:

The Quality Technician 1 is responsible for following procedures to inspect product(s).

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform work within takt/cycle time (40%)

  • Perform work per work instructions (40%)

  • Knowledgeable regarding use of micrometers, calipers, plug gauges and other manual instruments

  • Capable of interpreting blueprint features and understand how print features apply to various measurement methods (40%)

  • Ability to load and unload measurement devices to ensure measurements are taken correctly

  • Inspection of component and workplace audit with documented results (40%)

  • Initiate corrective action as required (30%)

  • Setup and operate optical comparator to measure angles, lengths, center distances and radius (30%)

  • Heat treat and Gear inspection with the use of lab equipment and interpreting results to specification (30%)

  • Calculate vari-roll blocks and setup independently (30%)

  • Inspect all incoming material per quality instructions (30%)

  • Enter NCR in computer and control parts until disposition is determined (30%)

  • Maintain received files and records and update required records to show gauge status (30%)

  • Use of lab equipment for gauge calibration and disposition of obsolete and worn gauges (20%)

  • Using gauge calibration procedures, verify gauging used within cells (20%)

  • Work with gauge suppliers for best equipment for each application (20%)

  • Lab testing - audits (10%)

  • Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area (5%)

  • Practice 5Ss (5%)

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:

  • Proficient understanding and ability to follow verbal and written instructions (drawings and blueprints)

  • Basic math skills

  • Excellent organization skills

  • Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint

  • High school diploma

Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:

  • Quality experience
