What Makes this Job Awesome? The IT Support Specialist provides (level 2) IT support for all North American business units and is responsible for the day-to-day operational management and support of the computers, VOIP system, networks, and applications in use at all North American business units. This role involves proactively managing systems with appropriate tools and resources, assisting in the technical design, planning, and implementation of Kee Safety projects as part of cross-functional teams, and integrating systems into the existing Kee Safety infrastructure. This is an office based position. How Will You Do This?
- Work primarily in a Windows and Office 365 environment, and other Cloud-Based environments
- Perform systems analysis and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications
- Assist in the design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, or modification of computer systems or programs based on user or system design specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting for LAN, WAN, and firewall technologies
- Setting up and maintaining virtualized environments using tools like VMware or Hyper-V
- Perform Windows Server and Azure Cloud administration as well as support of legacy systems
- Support Windows PCs (Laptop & Desktop), Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft 365/Azure tasks, Peripheral Devices (Printers, Scanners, etc.), Android/iOS devices, and limited MacOS support
- Set up and configure new PC hardware and provide full support to users receiving new hardware
- Provide daily technical IT support to all users at Kee Safety and related Business Units around North America
- Use a ticketing system to log and track all reported issues, resolving tickets in a timely manner or escalating as necessary
- Identify opportunities to optimize IT systems and processes, reducing recurring issues and enhancing performance
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency
- Document solutions, create knowledge base articles, and train team members to increase organizational IT expertise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and implement IT projects, ensuring smooth integration into Kee Safety's infrastructure
General Duties
- Daily use of remote support software to manage user systems
- Designing and implementing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage solutions
- Monitoring network performance and ensuring network security
- Performing routine maintenance, updates, and upgrades on IT systems
- Carry out any reasonable task as requested by management
- Office based position
Requirements
We Want to Hear from You If You Have:
- 2-year AAS degree in Computer Science, Information System, IT or related technical field; will accept work experience in an IT role, in lieu of educational requirements
- 3-5 Years of proven work experience in Windows OS environments and Office 365, including remote user support
- 2-4 Years of work experience with server administration and cloud-based architecture (MS Azure)
- 2-4 Years of Experience with cloud-based endpoint management solution (MS Intune is highly desirable)
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN and Firewall technologies
- Technical Certifications, (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, ITILv4 Foundations, Microsoft Azure Certifications) are a plus
