Overview

We are seeking a driven and forward-thinking Technical Integration Manager to lead our Systems Engineering and Mission Integration teams on behalf of Barrios across a diversified aerospace portfolio. As a well-established company with a strong foothold in the government sector, we are now expanding into commercial aerospace and broader defense markets. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation and strategic direction for current and future programs.

The ideal candidate combines engineering and integration expertise with strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset. You will be responsible for building internal engineering capabilities and supporting the expansion of the company's business portfolio through technical influence and innovation.



Responsibilities

The Technical Integration Manager will:

    Manage a multidisciplinary team of systems engineers responsible for the full product lifecycle: concept development, architecture definition, requirements management, integration, verification, and validation
  • Oversee and coordinate a team comprising mission requirement engineers, resource managers, and science/mission operations personnel to ensure seamless alignment and execution of mission objectives
  • Develop and lead initiatives to institutionalize best practices across government, commercial, and defense lines of business
  • Standardize processes, tools, and workflows to improve productivity and ensure consistency across programs
  • Coach and mentor team members, and lead initiatives to attract, develop, and retain top technical talent
  • Serve as a key voice in shaping the organization as it evolves to meet the demands of a more diversified portfolio
  • Partner with business development, capture, and program teams to define technically sound, competitive solutions for both government and commercial opportunities
  • Identify emerging technologies and process innovations to position the company for success in new and adjacent markets
  • Help shape and prioritize investments to enable efficient scaling as the company expands into new sectors


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a technical leadership or management role
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams and interface with executive stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors
  • Progressive leadership roles & responsibilities demonstrated through experience base
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and target clear and concise message to the appropriate audience

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Experience supporting the transition from government-focused engineering to dual-use (government + commercial) product lines
  • INCOSE CSEP, PMP, or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with Agile systems engineering and model-based approaches
  • Prior involvement in new product introduction (NPI) or entry into new markets (e.g., commercial launch systems, ISR platforms, unmanned systems)

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
