Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Digital Transformation Manager to lead our organization's digital initiatives and drive technology-enabled business transformation. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with business objectives, modernize IT systems, and enhance digital capabilities across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with business acumen and change management skills to deliver measurable impact.



Responsibilities

The IT Digital Transformation Manager will:

    Lead the design, planning, and execution of enterprise-wide digital transformation programs
  • Oversee the modernization of IT infrastructure, applications, and platforms, including cloud adoption, system integration, and cybersecurity enhancements
  • Partner with users to identify opportunities for process automation, data-driven decision-making, and customer experience enhancement
  • Develop roadmaps for digital initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
    Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, analytics, cloud, low-code platforms) to create business value
  • Establish governance, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to measure transformation success and ROI
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals who design, develop, and support digital solutions throughout their lifecycle
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within IT and the wider business
  • Manage vendor relationships, service contracts, and software licenses, focusing on cost optimization and value delivery
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive IT experience, including at least 5 years in a management or team leadership role
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Experience leading or supporting IT functions in regulated industries, with exposure to the NASA environment and a working knowledge of aerospace industry standards and compliance frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver IT solutions that improve efficiency, align with business objectives, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising service quality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to internal customer satisfaction

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Master's degree in a related field or advanced certifications
  • Proven track record of leading digital transformation, cloud migration, or cost optimization initiatives
  • Strong understanding of AI concepts, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems or workflows to solve real-world business or technical problems
  • Experience supporting engineering and development teams, including specialized environments such as flight software or simulation labs
  • Familiarity with defense IT environments and industry standards, including a working knowledge of compliance frameworks

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
