This Technical Expert II (TE II) role provides recommendations on incorporating federal child welfare policies into Child Welfare Information Gateway (CWIG) web content and products. This individual will collaborate with internal, partner company, and federal staff to provide policy expertise and insights to support the full project and related products. The TE II/Child Welfare Policy Expert is responsible for drafting, reviewing and sending White House Controlled Correspondence responses related to child welfare policy. This individual is also responsible for liaising with Administration for Children and Families regional offices on policy work as needed and supports rulemaking and comment feedback analysis. The TE II serves as an in-house senior content/subject matter expert for child welfare policy and, in collaboration with other staff and project leadership, is a team leader responsible for ensuring the design and delivery of child welfare policy-related analysis and content. The TE II coaches and guides staff in the development and implementation of effective, high quality child welfare content and strategy and works closely with the prime contractor and fellow project staff per the established project guidelines. The TE II may also be called upon to supervise project-affiliated JBS staff. Fundamental Requirement: The TE II/Child Welfare Policy Expert must have a deep understanding of child welfare policy at the state and federal level and experience leading legislative and related data analysis projects. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Five years of experience in understanding and working in legislative processes at the state and federal level. A clear, demonstrated history of creating policy, conducting legislative analysis, and leading collection and analysis of related rulemaking comments/feedback.
