Enbridge Gas Ohio is looking for a Financial Analyst who will support the development and maintenance of the company's consolidated budget/forecast as well as corporate strategy. This position works very closely as an advisory to our business partners in Enbridge Gas Ohio.

What you will do:

  • Monthly variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting processes for EGO's capital spend.

  • Collaborate with business partners to understand forecasts, variance drivers, and aid in achieving capital targets.

  • Build and maintain relationships with various levels of leadership throughout business.

  • Capital reporting, analysis, and collaboration with the business to understand key business drivers, make management decisions, and identify strategies for EGO to attain financial targets.

  • Development of reporting enhancements to improve efficiency within Finance.

  • Provide support for O&M functions.

  • Communicate effectively with operational areas to understand impact of variance on financial results.

  • Development, maintenance, and analysis of capital budgets and forecasts.

  • Maintain internal controls and adherence to SOX controls.

  • Perform ad hoc research, analysis, and support as assigned.

Who you are:

Minimum requirements:

  • 3+ years directly related experience with a Bachelor's degree OR

  • 5+ years directly related experience with an Associate's degree OR

  • 7+ years directly related experience with a High School Diploma or GED

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge in financial management and analysis, utility and/or relevant industry, and accounting standards and practices.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational skills, interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication.

  • Teaming, analytical, and customer focus skills.

  • Expertise in consolidated financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, and project financial analysis.

  • Experience in M&A analysis, due diligence process, and understanding of accounting, tax and financing principles.

  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Aptitude for continuous learning.

Working Conditions:
  • Office work environment 95%

  • Some travel required to sites or other offices

Physical Requirements (Include but are not limited to):

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
