Summary: As an Advisory Principal, you will serve as a senior leader overseeing high-impact consulting engagements and acting as a trusted strategic advisor to healthcare executives, including C-suite leaders. You will leverage deep expertise in contracting, sourcing, and cost-containment strategies to deliver solutions that drive measurable financial, operational, and clinical outcomes. In this role, you will shape client strategies, foster executive partnerships, and advance Vizient's mission through thought leadership and innovative advisory services. This role will largely focus on project engagements in the western U.S. region. Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Direct and inspire cross-functional consulting teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Mentor senior consultants, drive capability development, and model consulting best practices. Portfolio Oversight: Lead complex, multi-year, system-wide engagements, effectively managing project P&L, scope, and annual engagement portfolio performance. Ensure successful execution across diverse client initiatives, aligning outcomes with client goals, proposals, timelines, and budgets. Executive Advisory: Build and sustain trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives. Shape executive perspectives by confidently presenting complex, persuasive, and insight-driven recommendations that guide contracting, sourcing, and operational strategies. Business Development & Revenue Growth: Drive growth by identifying, shaping, and securing new advisory opportunities. Partner with sales leaders to craft proposals, pricing models, and client-specific strategies that highlight Vizient's value proposition. Contribute to revenue expansion by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities and serving as a subject matter expert throughout the sales process. Thought Leadership & Member Engagement: Translate data and market insights into forward-looking strategies that address healthcare's most complex challenges. Present innovative recommendations and facilitate executive-level discussions that influence decision-making. Actively engage in membership-related activities, including expert calls, account planning meetings, and the development of custom intelligence deliverables. Subject Matter Expertise: Leverage specialized knowledge and market insights to deliver actionable strategies that strengthen long-term partnerships and support Vizient clients. Qualifications:
Estimated Hiring Range: At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
