Operations Production Supervisor

InterMetro Industries is seeking a Supervisorfor ourTMF Packing Department.

This role is responsible for the direct supervision, training, and performance management of hourly production employees. The position also manages and leads associates assigned to them in accordance with accepted management best practices. TMF Supervisor is responsible for meeting production and quality goals of their department or shift.

Schedule: M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with flexibility to work occasional weekend days

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Manages and maintains safe operating practices and conditions within assigned work areas. Leads by personally setting the example.
2. Supervises work of others, including planning, assigning, and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff, and overseeing their productivity. May offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments, but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
3. Provides coaching and corrective actions to hourly associates who fail to meet established production, quality, attendance or other standards.
4. Establishes and maintains production areas assigned in accordance with 5S+1 principles.
5. Maintains departmental goals set forth by Plant Manager including, overtime, quality and cost.
6. Actively participates in Performance Excellence initiatives and seeks opportunities to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
7. Works collaboratively with other supervisors, Engineering, Quality Control, P&IC, and other disciplines to ensure customer needs are met in a timely and accurate manner.
8. Setup new part numbers in Oracle and design new product packaging.
9. Implement new product roll outs and perform time studies.
10. Review department and product performance data in Power BI.
11. Ensures incumbents understand and follow company policies and procedures.
12. Manages vacation time, as well as all time and attendance activity for assigned personnel.
13. May be responsible to provide supervisory leadership at any time, on any production shift, as required.
14. Ensures all current and new employees are trained in the Code of Business Ethics, in its meaning and application. Periodically reviews the Code with employees and ensures they attend the annual ethics refresher program. Maintains a workplace environment that encourages frank and open communication, free from fear of reprisal, concerning compliance with the Code.
15. Occasional travel required.
16. Other duties, as assigned.
