Quality Audit AR Recovery



Position Summary:


We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Auditor with a strong background in medical billing and hospital revenue cycle operations. In this role, you'll audit patient accounts to ensure they're being worked correctly, following both payer requirements and internal SOPs. This includes validating status accuracy, billing actions, and follow-up decisions. You'll be responsible for identifying trends, catching errors, and making sure the team is using the ARO platform correctly-a key tool used across multiple FinThrive-supported projects.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Audit accounts across the revenue cycle (billing, follow-up, denials, payment posting) to ensure accurate and appropriate handling
  • Identify errors and flag them for correction
  • Ensure proper and consistent use of the ARO platform, including validating that teams are following platform guidelines and project-specific workflows
  • Review documentation and actions taken by team members within ARO to ensure compliance with customer and FinThrive SOPs and FinThrive's expectations
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to deliver feedback and coaching where needed
  • Track audit findings and escalate recurring issues or process gaps
  • Stay up to date on payer guidelines, medical billing regulations, and updates within the ARO system
  • Identify and propose training needs based on audits



Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years of experience in hospital revenue cycle operations (billing, follow-up, or denial resolution)
  • Solid knowledge of Hospital medical billing processes, EOBs, and insurance workflows
  • Familiarity with CARC/RARC codes and common payer denial reasons
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.
  • Knowledge of Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other billing systems is a plus
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Good communication skills - able to provide clear, constructive feedback and collaborate across teams



Nice to have Qualifications:



  • Prior experience in quality assurance or account auditing
  • Experience working in or auditing within the ARO platform preferred
