The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for managing wholesale sales through external partners (dealers) across a defined territory. You will ensure dealer performance aligns with annual sales targets, lead dealer development, support technical sales processes, and provide input across departments to improve selling tools and product positioning.
This is a non-supervisory managerial role focused on managing dealer relationships-not internal staff-but requires leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on engagement with complex projects and technical sales content.
Key Responsibilities:
Dealer Management
  • Manage all wholesale orders and sales through dealer partners in assigned territory.
  • Monitor dealer inventory levels, credit availability, and accounts receivable.
  • Implement tactical and strategic actions to meet or exceed wholesale and retail targets.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Product Team to develop machine specifications and accurate quotes.
Dealer Development
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with dealers, providing insights and corrective strategies.
  • Identify and onboard new dealer candidates through structured market evaluation and vetting.
  • Negotiate and implement business plans with new and existing dealers.
  • Lead dealer onboarding, including product training, systems integration, and compliance steps.
  • Deliver Sales Level 1 Training and introduce core product lines and crushing/screening knowledge.
Technical Sales Support
  • Prepare technical documentation: specifications, bid packages, quotations, Bruno/AggFlow simulations, and more.
  • Develop and maintain a library of case studies to support application-specific selling.
  • Create and conduct sales training materials focused on Key Account product requirements.
  • Provide sales toolkits, competitor comparisons, and sales presentations for dealer use.
  • Work closely with the Aftersales Team to review spare parts planning and machine operating costs.
  • Support or lead live equipment demonstrations, exhibitions, open houses, and customer demo events.
Project & Cross-Departmental Support
  • Lead or support marketing campaigns, product presentations, market research, and more.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support initiatives across engineering, marketing, and product development.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in technical sales-ideally within heavy steel manufacturing, machinery, or industrial equipment.
  • Strong understanding of dealer/distributor sales models and territory management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with partners and internal teams.
  • Proficient in interpreting and creating technical documentation, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including some overnight trips.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; technical background or equivalent experience strongly considered.
Preferred Experience:
  • Background in crushing & screening equipment, material processing machinery, or industrial OEM equipment
  • Familiarity with tools like Bruno and AggFlow
  • Technical writing or training experience
