AMSOIL is now hiring for an experienced, self-motivated Process Engineer! In this role you will be responsible for optimizing the production process ensuring equipment reliability and continuous improvement. You will also solve problems and drive improvements in the manufacturing process as well as related systems to identify and reduce waste.

This position reports onsite to the manufacturing center located in Superior, Wisconsin.



Core Responsibilities:



  • Accountable for knowing the manufacturing process
  • Troubleshoot performance issues and make recommendations for maintenance, upgrades, and preventative actions
  • Responsible for equipment-related uptime performance of AMSOIL production processes
  • Develop training programs and system documentation
  • Work with other departments to implement optimization strategies, justifying and sourcing new equipment
  • Ensure equipment FAT and SAT qualification are completed
  • Support Continuous Improvement by managing projects, drive waste reduction, and increase efficiency
  • Develop and manage safeguards to ensure quality is maintained
  • Manage NFPA 70E Safety program



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering)
  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering concepts
  • Proven experience in practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of goods
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
  • Identify complex problems and review information to evaluate option and implement solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards or comparable ERP system
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and interfacing control concepts into a manufacturing environment; preference for Allen Bradley experience or similar platform
  • Knowledge of SQL Databases
  • Professional Engineer PE (preferred)
  • Lean Manufacturing (preferred)
  • Or a 2 year technical degree with equivalent combination of experience and training
