Summary Balfour Beatty Construction in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Safety Health & Environmental Manager. The state-of-the art operations facility consists of a multi-story, 858,000-square-foot building that will include open office areas, collaborative multi-discipline workspace, computer labs and virtual instruction/distance learning-enable classrooms along with an accompanying 1.2-million-square-foot parking garage. This facility will be built to achieve LEED Silver certification, will comply with Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) standards and will include redundant primary power and Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) systems to ensure continuity of operations. This project is design-build. This position is responsible for the implementation of the company's safety and loss prevention programs. In addition, this role ensures job-site employees and subcontractors are trained in all safety programs and protocol, including federal/state regulations, in order to prevent accidents and/or injuries. Essential Functions Coordinate and facilitate safety training and incentive programs, maintain statistical information on costs and frequency, perform accident investigations, manage safety personnel and consultants, including the following specific tasks:
