Description

Job duties:



  • Assist the team lead and shipping coordinator to ensure all outbound orders are shipped to meet customer deadlines


  • Audit Shipments: Review and inspect outbound shipments to ensure goods are free of damage, meet quality standards, and match purchase order specifications.
  • Verify Documentation: Verifying packing slips, bills of lading, and purchase orders to confirm shipment accuracy.
  • Recordkeeping: Accurately record and document audit results using warehouse management systems.
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and report discrepancies to the appropriate department, take corrective action as necessary, and follow up to closure.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all incoming shipments comply with company policies and federal, state, or local regulations.
  • Communication: Facilitate smooth collaboration with internal teams (inventory control, and warehouse teams) and external vendors when discrepancies or issues arise.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks on products and packaging as per industry and company standards.
  • Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace and adhere to all company safety protocols.
  • Outbound Loading: Ensure the loading dock is clear, clean, and well-lit. Inspect the trailers for cleanliness and suitability. Inspect the goods for damage or discrepancies before loading. Confirm that items are packed securely on pallets and labeled correctly. Ensure goods are loaded evenly to avoid unbalanced weight distribution, which could cause vehicle instability. Use proper loading techniques to avoid product damage or injury to personnel. The driver must have all required paperwork, such as a bill of lading (BOL). Ensure the driver has all necessary instructions and contact information in case of complications. Notify relevant parties that the shipment has departed and provide tracking information.
  • Training Assistance: Assist in training receiving staff on company audit protocols and processes, as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline receiving and auditing operations.


Qualifications:



  • Forklift Licensed; Experienced driving Stand-up Forklift
  • Warehouse Shipping / Receiving Experience, minimum of 1 year
  • Working knowledge of SAP system, Console RF System helpful
  • Ability to Operate Material Handling Equipment including pallet jack, forklift and/or order picker
  • Good Math and Writing Skills; Self Starter and Motivated
  • Able to perform Heavy Lifting, Material Handling
  • Walking/standing 8-12 hours a day
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Willingness to work Overtime as required


Preferred qualifications:



  • Previous experience in warehouse operations, auditing, shipping/receiving, or inventory control.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office, Excel).
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Multitasking capability in a fast-paced environment.


Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Valid SC Driver's License; Must have own transportation
  • Candidates must have effective use of all four limbs.
  • Must have good eye, hand and feet coordination.
  • Must have corrected vision that meets the same requirements as those for a valid / applicable state driver's license.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (Product weight varies)
