Overview This role will require onsite presence at our Valmeyer, IL facility. Position Overview: Assists press operators in the makeready and running of presses. Assistance will be required in the day-to-day preparation of materials and equipment needed to produce printed products. May also be asked to assist with routine press maintenance, and to operate press on a fill-in basis as needed. Establishes and maintains a solid working relationship with co-workers to ensure maximum plant productivity and quality control according to established standards. Qualifications Internal Requirements:
Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.). Language Skills Ability to read and analyze instructions, correspondence, memos, technical procedures, and government regulations. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate, present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers and other employees of the Company. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with multiple variables. Other Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize daily work and projects. Multiple operational skills and individual flexibility are required to meet the needs of the business and customers. Physical Demand While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms. Duties of this job also require the employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 pounds. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While the plant is climate controlled, there may be times during certain weather events when the working environment may be colder or hotter than normal.
