POSITION SUMMARY:

The Consumer Engagement Specialist supports the research, development, and implementation of consumer engagement initiatives and related projects. These initiatives will be determined through review of the strategic business plans for each market, hospital and clinic across the enterprise. The specialist will support a transition from mass marketing to precision marketing and consumer engagement at a 1:1 level, reaching consumers all along the continuum of their health and wellness journey.


Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly, virtually or in person, with the consumer engagement team and others involved in the development of 1:1 consumer engagement strategy
  • Communicate effectively with clinicians/physicians, peers and other consumer experience and engagement team members
  • Collaborate and build relationships within the department and with local consumer engagement leaders
  • Utilization of precision engagement tactics
  • Work closely with the consumer experience and data/technology teams to develop content and ideas to grow engagement
  • Research and provide content for business letters, newsletters, brochures, press releases, fact sheets, direct mail, web and social media, among others
  • Support the broader team in creating, executing and monitoring the annual consumer engagement plan, timeline and budget
  • Provide regular and thorough project status updates to the consumer engagement manager

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Marketing and/or related degree.
  • 1+ years previous marketing experience.
  • Previous healthcare experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office software with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with consumer health behaviors and interest in learning about services and capabilities across markets
