TITLE: QC Technician B


POSITION OBJECTIVE: Assist the PET / PAPER Department in quality control. Monitor all aspects of quality assurance within the department. To standardize the duties of this position and to ensure that personnel adhere to the corporate policy and procedures. The directives are to ensure that the product meets or exceeds the specifications set forth by customer and / or the PET / PAPER department.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Good statistical and analytical skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Quality control and production experience desirable.
  • Must be familiar with report writing and preparation.
  • Must have 1 - 3 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment (paper manufacturing experience is a plus.)
  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer programs.
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Complies with all written and verbal safety rules and procedures.
  • Keeps all assigned work areas clean and safe.
  • Reports to shift supervisor, production assistant manager, QC Sr. Technician and / or plant manager on quality status.
  • Notify packers / machine operators of quality defects.
  • Responsible for monitoring quality standards.
  • Must be able to read and understand sequence reports and tally sheets.
  • Must be able to perform proper procedure for quality assurance on all types of bags.
  • Assist in training new personnel, share workload as needed.
  • Pass all master training courses with minimum score of 80.
  • Any other duties or responsibilities as deemed necessary by supervisor, production assistant manager, QC Sr. Technician and / or plant manager.



WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:



  • Inside and outside environments apply
  • Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
  • Subject to noise
