Your Tasks
- Develop new customers and markets, focusing on sectors not currently served by the Plymouth or TUV SUD sales and operations teams.
- Create and execute strategic plans for business growth in assigned regions, meeting targets for revenue, sales, profit, and market share.
- Expand existing customers' business and proactively win new business with both existing and new customers.
- Serve as the technical liaison from pre-sales booking, acting as the customer's trusted advisor.
- Conduct customer discovery discussions to understand and document business needs and regulatory requirements, formulating optimal solutions.
- Draft internal test plans based on domestic and international product standards to develop quote responses.
- Develop and deliver technical presentations as needed.
- Stay informed of changes to international/OEM test standards, test methods, and industry policies; share knowledge with clients and internal teams.
- Participate in automotive and standard organizations and industry groups related to product compliance.
- Own and manage quotation generation, handle incoming inquiries, and provide solution-based packages from TUV SUD's service portfolio.
- Generate and follow up on quotations and proposals using the CRM tool, converting them to orders.
- Maintain CRM records and compile prospect lists.
- Conduct site visits to meet with engineers and support their evaluation and testing needs.
- Enter key information into the business project management tool once quotations become projects.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of work experience in or around an EMC or Electrical Test Lab.
- At least 5 years of in-depth experience in a business development/"hunter" sales/account management role delivering EMC and/or RF/wireless services in a TIC environment, with demonstrated results in new business/customer development.
- Strong working knowledge of Automotive EMC test requirements; experience with transplant OEM specs is a strong plus.
- Exposure to a variety of industries such as automotive components, IT, consumer goods, machinery, lighting laboratory, and/or equipment is highly beneficial.
- Laboratory-based product testing knowledge within the Test, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry or experience with product qualification using laboratory-based product testing (e.g., ISO 11452-2, ISO 10605, IEC 60601-1-2, FCC/EU RED Wireless Standards).
- Understanding of practical financial issues and business fundamentals, including key profit drivers.
- Strong communication skills, customer focus, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a service environment and/or project management.
- Proven organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM software.
