Job Description
Elwyn is currently seeking an Outpatient Therapist who has therapeutic responsibilities associated with providing intake assessments and individual/group/family therapy to children and adolescents at an outpatient program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct initial assessment with the child(ren) and parent to include but not limited to paper intake assessments and the collection of demographic information, family history, mental health and clinical history of the child(ren)
- Develop and monitor the treatment plan, revising it as needed within established regulatory guidelines
- Conduct individual, group and family therapy as it relates to the child's treatment goals as appropriate
- Write progress notes associated with direct clinical service provided
- Maintain chart documentation regarding the treatment plan based on the initial assessment of the child(ren) and clinical services provided, according to regulatory requirements
- Interface with other clinic personnel, including psychologists, psychiatrists and the Elwyn staff relative to the services outlined in the treatment plan
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- PA licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Direct clinical experience with children and youth and families preferred
- Experience providing direct service to individuals with autism preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and crisis intervention using agency-trained protocols
- Demonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, preferred
- Must possess a current, valid driver's license in state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record
