Manage change freeze windows and coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruption. Ensure backlog grooming accounts for Definition of Ready/Done from a DevOps perspective. Maintain release readiness checklists including test sign-offs, UAT approvals, and rollback plans. Prepare deployment plans and manage execution during scheduled windows. Manage test data seeding, anonymization, and environment data integrity. Oversee Salesforce environments (dev, QA, UAT, staging, prod) and enforce parity across them. Define environment naming conventions, refresh schedules, and access policies and enforce DevOps policies, release standards, and quality gates. Ensure environment security and compliance with company regulatory standards. Build, maintain, and optimize Salesforce CI/CD pipelines (Gearset, Copado, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Automate deployment validation, regression testing, code quality checks (PMD, SonarQube), and release rollbacks. Establish and enforce branching, version control, and packaging strategies (unlocked/managed packages). Manage automated backup and recovery processes for Salesforce environments. Manage the infrastructure and tooling for automated UI testing (Provar, Selenium, Robot Framework, etc.). Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (unit, regression, smoke, integration). Ensure code coverage thresholds, static analysis, and security scans are met before release. Drive innovation in self-service release tooling and platform reliability engineering. Mentor developers, admins, and analysts on DevOps practices and tools. Stay ahead of Salesforce release cycles and ensure the org is prepared to adopt new features. Act as advisor on COE governance and architectural decisions related to release management. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). Seven (7) or more years experience with Salesforce. Three (3) or more years experience in release management or DevOps leadership. Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator Salesforce Platform Developer I Salesforce Platform Developer II Salesforce Application or System Architect DevOps-related certifications (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset)
Knowledge of automated deployments, regression testing, and rollback strategies. Knowledge of automated validation of UI, integrations, and regression scenarios. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). Strong experience with Salesforce DX, Git-based workflows, and CI/CD automation. Strong understanding of static code analysis (PMD, SonarQube) and security scanning (Snyk, Checkmarx). Strong understanding of Salesforce release cycles and enterprise adoption planning. Strong collaboration and coordination across technical and business teams. Strong background in Agile delivery and cross-team release coordination. Skilled in monitoring, logging, and incident response (Splunk, Datadog, PagerDuty). Skilled in articulating release plans, risks, and trade-offs to leadership. Skilled in CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset. Skilled in test automation tools such as: Provar, Selenium, Robot Framework, or equivalent. Ability to mentor others in DevOps, QA, and automation practices.
