Position Overview


The Corporate Retail Financing Manager is responsible for to effectively manage all aspects of ELT's vendor lease and internal long term rental program and drive the financial contribution to ELT from these transactions.



Supervisory Responsibilities:



  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Set goals and objectives and develop strategies and plans to achieve goals.
  • Define Team Members roles and responsibilities
  • Motivate and inspire Team Members while providing direction and support.
  • Maintain and foster a positive work environment.
  • Implement corrective actions and coaching when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Recruit and hire the right people.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for Team Members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback and monitor Team Member's performance against goals.
  • Manage budgets and financial resources while tracking expenditures and ensuring cost effectiveness.



Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Develop and implement a business plan and strategy for retail financing that ensures attainment of ELT's sales goals and gross profit margin for all new and used equipment departments.
  • Development, improve and implement leasing related processes to ensure all aspects of the lease life cycle are efficiently effectively managed. Document these processes in SOP manual for the department.
  • Establish and implement policies for any lease where ELT takes a recourse or guaranteed residual position to ensure the company's financial position is safe guarded through the full lease term.
  • Ensure ELT has a robust base of financing vendor alternatives that support sales of all product lines, including developing financing programs to support sales initiatives.
  • Effectively manage all aspects of "evergreen" lease situations to ensure the best financial outcome for ELT as it relates to leased asset and guaranteed maintenance.
  • Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding financial risks, performance concerns and roadblock to achieving goals. Do not "go it alone".
  • Assists Account Managers with proposal presentations and RFP responses.
  • Conducts coaching and counseling with Account Managers to build retail financing and selling skills
  • Maintains contact with leasing and long-term rental clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
  • Ensure communication is timely and follow up is effective with sales, rental and used truck team members as it relates to the lease end process.



Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong knowledge of leasing management and customer service practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, analyze financial data, and drive profitability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.



Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in rental operations management, preferably within the material handling or industrial equipment industry.



Physical Requirements



  • Sitting and Standing: Ability to sit for extended periods to perform desk work and administrative tasks. Some positions may require standing or moving around the office intermittently. Computer Use: Proficiency in using computers and office equipment, which involves typing, using a mouse, and viewing a computer screen for extended periods.


  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle documents, operate office equipment (such as printers and photocopiers), and perform tasks that require precise movements.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally may need to lift or carry light objects such as files, office supplies, or packages. The specific weight limits can vary.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are often essential, including the ability to converse with coworkers and clients, and to operate telephones and other communication devices.
  • Mobility: Depending on the office layout, may need to move around the office to attend meetings, retrieve documents, or assist others.
  • Vision and Hearing: Good vision and hearing capabilities to perform tasks such as reading documents, communicating with others, and using office equipment effectively.
  • May be subjected to cold and hot conditions in warehouses and outside at customer sites.
