The Director of Corporate Partnerships will manage all the corporate sales and partnership efforts for Creighton athletics. This position is responsible for developing new multi-year partnerships as well as renewing existing partnerships. This individual will cultivate client-direct relationships across top brands on a local, regional and national level with a focus on maximizing revenue for the athletic department while also successfully bolstering the brand of the corporate partner by using traditional, digital and non-traditional media opportunities. At all times employees are expected to uphold Creighton's core values and demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment, while adhering to all University Ethical Standards of Conduct, rules, regulations, and job requirements, including required educational trainings. * Lead all facets of the individual sale cycle including prospecting, researching/qualifying leads, securing face-to-face appointments, ideating sponsorship solutions tailored to prospect business goals, proposal development, presenting final proposal, negotiation, contract generation. * Work cross-functionally with all departments to create comprehensive sponsorship proposals, while ensuring a high level of internal communication. * Employ the latest prospecting tools, research data, and market knowledge to develop effective, brand-centric sales positioning. * Understand prospective partner brands and their competitors to develop solution-based platforms to amplify partners' brands and achieve their marketing objectives. * Build, maintain and grow Creighton athletics' relationships with partners, anticipating and resolving any issues that arise. * Ensure partner generate maximum value from partnership and communicate value appropriately. * Responsible for generating incremental revenue and growth opportunities with all accounts * Meet and/or exceed sales expectations of new business revenue. * Effective management of current staff: (1) graduate assistant * Ability to potentially manage additional staff (i.e., account executive) Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited College/University. * 5-7+ years in sales, marketing, account management and/or brand management |
