We're bridging two worlds, moving towards more sustainable energy sources, while helping to provide the energy, chemicals and resources needed now. Purpose of the Role The Site Welding Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all on-site construction activities with a specific focus on welding quality, welder performance, and subcontractor management. This hybrid role combines elements of quality control, construction supervision, and subcontract administration to ensure weld procedures are approved, welders are effectively utilized, and quality targets are achieved. This position is distinct from a welding superintendent, with overall accountability for weld program performance, subcontractor oversight, and contribution to Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate on-site construction activities, including field administration, procurement, and field engineering, to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution. Manage the approval of weld procedures through engineering, ensuring compliance with project and industry codes and standards. Oversee the welder certification process and maintain up-to-date records to support workforce readiness and compliance. Administer and maintain the weld and flange management system to track progress and ensure traceability. Supervise NDE subcontractors and post-weld heat treatment subcontractors, ensuring adherence to schedule, quality, and cost targets. Maintain overall responsibility for weld reject rates, investigating root causes, and implementing corrective action plans to achieve continuous improvement. Optimize the utilization of welders in the field, balancing resources to meet productivity and schedule requirements. Collaborate with project management, engineering, and quality teams to resolve technical issues, mitigate risks, and align field activities with project objectives. Promote Worley's safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements. Lead constructability reviews and provide practical field insights to support improved execution strategies and sustainable outcomes. Prepare and present regular progress reports, welding performance metrics, and subcontractor evaluations to project leadership. Mentor and coach supervisors and field leaders, strengthening technical and leadership capability across the team.

Subcontractor Performance: Monitor and evaluate NDE and post-weld heat treatment subcontractors for compliance, productivity, and cost efficiency. Welder Utilization: Optimize workforce allocation to maximize productivity and minimize idle time. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain complete, accurate records for weld procedures, certifications, and inspections with zero audit findings. Continuous Improvement: Implement process and system improvements to enhance weld tracking, quality control, and reporting accuracy.

Ability to analyze data and develop KPIs that improve weld quality, productivity, and safety performance. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence diverse teams.
