Position Overview
Under the direction of Warehouse management, this position provides for the receipt, process flow, and staging of the Iowa Park facility supply chain. This position is diverse, ranging from the basic forklift operations to operating and maintaining key production equipment that is vital to the supply chain flow. The accuracy, speed, and Team ownership of this role impacts the supply chain efficiency and our ability to meet our Customer's expectations.
This position requires an individual to assemble a cross-functional skill set, operate multiple production and material movement equipment, develop and apply an effective SAP / Sym-PLE transaction knowledge, and operate within a highly accurate, multi-tasking attention to detail Team environment.
Schedule
- Night shift is 6:30 P.M. to 6:30 A.M.
- Day shift is 6:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Enter and receive semi-finished materials into inventory for multiple departments in the plant. * Locate, supply, and maintain material for all departments in real time. * Relocate all semi-finished and Finished Goods within Warehouse racking / bin system in real time. * Monitor, audit, and correct all ranges of inventory entries for semi-finished materials to finished goods. * Interprets Production Control schedules to correctly route tubing for internal or external supply chain to include palletizing, stretch wrapping, and staging for external shipment. * Operates wide aisle LPG powered lift trucks and narrow aisle electric powered lift trucks in elevated racking systems. Maintains certification on all Powered Lift trucks. * Operates various types of material handling equipment and support equipment to include electric and air hoists, stretch wrappers, pallet magazines, and lift tables. * Responsible for monitoring available warehouse space and take decisive actions when warranted to avoid unwanted warehousing situations. * Provides forklift service with material delivery to departments. This requires the Warehouse operator to coordinate timely product flow in/out of the respected areas, servicing ten to fifteen different machines and schedules concurrently. * Operate within the accepted Warehouse Best Practices guidelines to minimize equipment/facility damage and material spoilage * Performs daily cycle count audits to verify inventory accuracy * Performs daily forklift inspections to ensure the safety and maintenance of the equipment * Applies Safety Training and skills to all powered lift truck and material handling equipment. * Ensures high quality standards for safety, accuracy, and efficiency are maintained in all job duties. * Performs other duties as directed by Group Performance Leader and Supervision. * Follow all applicable EHS, Quality and Food Safety procedures and protocols, and reports any incident to his/her supervisor. * Complete all EHS, Quality and Food Safety applicable training. * Support implementation of the Quality and Food Safety program and comply with the expectations if this role is included as part of the Food Safety or Internal Audit team

Experience
- Previous warehousing experience a plus
- Forklift and material handling equipment
- Must possess an aptitude for using a computer
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be well organized, and be a team player
- Computer knowledge (SAP, Excel, and Word) is a plus.
- Demonstrate ability to read tape measure
- Demonstrate ability to pass basic math skills test
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts with extended periods of standing
Education
