Position Overview The Inspector/Packer is responsible for inspecting and packing bags to safely deliver the highest quality products at the best efficiency and lowest scrap possible using effective manufacturing methods. Inspector/Packer personnel report to the Shift Leader. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Follow all Key Operating Procedures, including but not limited to: Company and facility Policies Safety - LTCT; use of proper PPE; adherence to all applicable safety rules Quality - PQCT, Bag Specifications, Testing Frequencies and Procedures SOPs - Methods for performing work SSOP/Good Housekeeping standards (keep machines and area sanitized and clean) Good Manufacturing Practices Food/Safety Security HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Food Regulatory and Customer Specifications Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality Responsible to ensure that box and tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines Assist and work closely with Quality, Maintenance, and technical resources to ensure that issues are being addressed to optimize the performance of the line. Experience: Experience in manufacturing preferred. Specific Skills: Ability to read measuring tapes and product specifications with mechanical aptitude. Equipment & Machinery: Pallet jacks, machine hoists. Computer Experience & Software: Basic computer skills. Work Environment Manufacturing Plant. Climate Controlled.
