Job Summary

Support training, development and education for caregivers, leaders, and physicians across the health system to promote quality guided by regulatory requirements and evidence-based practice, advance Monument Health's education presence to our communities, and support internal professional and personal growth opportunities supporting advancement. Serve as a learning facilitator, change agent, and educational facilitator to enhance the skills and competency of caregivers throughout the health system in line with the organization's mission, vision, values, and priorities. Partner with other teammates to leverage best-practice experience in adult learning and change management on the design, innovation and facilitation of talent and leadership development programs and experiences end-to-end. Serve as a role model for excellent facilitation and culture modeling and develop those capabilities in other leaders across the organization.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Onboarding and Orientation: Develop and facilitate delivery of system curriculum and structure for onboarding of caregivers. Coordinate with other departments concerning orientation content.
  • Competency Management: Assist leaders and caregivers to identify competency needs. Assist in the development of competency objectives and verification methods. Maintain record of final competency materials developed during identified competency periods.
  • Education: Utilize the theories and principles of adult learning to foster the learning process. Monitor practice environment for education gaps and performs periodic needs assessment to identify potential areas of growth. Develop and deliver system education based on identified regulatory required and strategically identified needs using the appropriate education methods. Evaluate the effectiveness of system education provided. Promotes acquisition and maintenance of professional certifications as required by job profile.
  • Role Development: Creates and maintains learning programs to assist in career development for leaders, caregivers, and physicians. Assist in selecting assessment methodologies to identify development needs that support achieving performance targets and benchmarks.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Establish relationships with caregivers and leaders to evaluate needs, provide consultation, and facilitate learning. Involve learners, leadership, and other key stakeholders in formulating desired outcomes, content design, implementation, and evaluation.Establish collaborative partnerships with regional educational institutions and students to promote future healthcare caregiver pipeline development.
  • Research, Evidence-based practice, Quality improvement: Serve as educational resource and consultation for evidence-based practice on committees and councils as requested. Collaborate to monitor changes in industry standards, identification, and promotion of current federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Disseminate information related to evidence-based practice and regulatory standards to leaders and caregivers. Analyze and synthesize literature, research findings, evidence-based practices, policies, regulatory and professional standards to coordinate and participate in educational activities across Monument Health.
  • Alladditional duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Preferred:
Education - Bachelor's Education or Health related field
Experience - 3+ years Education Trainer Experience, 3+ years Healthcare Experience

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
