Job Summary
As part of the development communications team, reporting to the Creative Director, the Graphics Designer IV will function as Lead Designer/Art Director in the design and production of high quality, creative artwork for printing and presentations using computer graphics hardware and software. Responsible for supervision, researching and implementing advanced graphic design production on assigned work projects. Responsible for photography and video needs as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in commercial art, design, advertising. A minimum of five years of directly related ad agency experience. Excellent knowledge and skill in computer graphics and desktop publishing software. Experience in use of Macintosh computer. Expert knowledge of Illustrator, Adobe Suite, Quark and Photoshop.

Preferred Education and Experience
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a graphic designer, art director, or production assistant in a design firm, advertising agency, marketing firm or similar organization. Experience designing graphics for publications, brochures, invitations, promotional materials and social media. Excellent proofreading skills.
Experience with photography and short-form video editing and motion graphics preferred but not required. Expert knowledge and skill in computer graphics and desktop publishing software. Experience in use of Mac computers. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop), and Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Experience in use of Macintosh computer.
Other Qualifications
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Creatively design and prepare layouts for printed and web-based materials. Work collaboratively between the development communications and alumni teams to produce time-sensitive materials. Balance multiple projects with various purposes, contribute in pre-production meetings to discuss creative ideation for copy, design and photography. Illustrate and present conceptual ideas with a layout of all artistic components.

Occasionally requires work hours in the evening or on the weekends.

Remote Work Notice:
Hybrid remote work environment available and a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice.
