We are seeking an Environmental Remediation Project Engineer who is ready to support and manage a variety of projects using innovative remedial technologies to address various contaminants in soil, groundwater, industrial wastewater, stormwater, and air. The right candidate will enrich our team of engineers and scientists in providing solutions to address contaminants such as PFAS, 1,4-dioxane, chlorinated solvents, and heavy metals for sites regulated under state, CERCLA, and RCRA laws. In this position, you will:
- Plan and execute large-scale investigations of soil/groundwater contamination and vapor intrusion studies under CERCLA and RCRA.
- Compile, interpret, and present investigation data in technical reports.
- Develop evaluations and implement responses/corrective actions.
- Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects and teams to fill data gaps, design, construct, operate, and optimize systems.
- Plan and perform assessments, pilot tests, construction oversight, and remedy O&M.
- Evaluate data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
- Prepare, review, and mentor others in the development of design basis, technology feasibility analyses and selection, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
- Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
- Manage projects at Superfund sites, federal facilities, military installations, and commercial/industrial properties.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects.
- Provide technical assistance to teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, including problem-solving, mentoring, leading by example, and participating in corporate technical initiatives.
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
- 7-15 years of relevant experience required.
- P.E. required.
- Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and other environmental regulations, legislation, and SOPs.
- Hands-on experience with remediation technologies and O&M for soil, groundwater, stormwater, industrial wastewater, and air.
- Strong knowledge of site-specific remediation contaminants, including PFAS, PCBs, Chlorinated Solvents, and metals(petroleum remediation less emphasized).
- Prior experience with federal assessment, remediation, or munitions programs preferred.
- Strong consulting, problem solving and leadership skills.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel overnight.
