Process Engineer Intern

Location: Bloomington, MN| [On-Site]

Employment Type: Temporary - 12-13 weeks

About the Role

The Process Engineer Intern will report to the Lead Engineer in the Manufacturing Engineering group and will focus on one of the core semiconductor processing areas in the Process Control area. This internship will drive improvement projects related to quality and/or cycle time as well as scrap and/or cost reduction in a high-volume semiconductor wafer fab.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of in-line thickness, CD and overlay data.

  • Evaluation and improvement to matching across metrology and defect tool fleets.

  • Auditing of accuracy and thoroughness of electronic data collection across numerous technologies.

  • Creation of engineering guideline documentation for metrology and defect tools in the fab.

  • Creation of technical training materials in the metrology and defect monitoring areas of the fab.

Qualifications
Required:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Physics, Material Science, or Engineering

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated independent achievement and teamwork capabilities

Preferred:

  • Knowledge and/or practical experience in nanotechnology and/or semiconductor processing

What We Offer:

Salary: $25.50 - $32.20 per hour. Pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.

Benefits & Other Eligible Compensation: Includes 401(k) plan and paid time off.
