Position Overview

Riverside Research and the IDS Business Unit are seeking a full time Facility Engineer in the Dayton, OH area. This position will focus on facility project design, construction, reliability engineering, and project management. Coordinate with cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget. This role has project management responsibility and no direct reports. This job manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end.



Responsibilities

    Provide professional engineering oversight for all the customer's facility projects by gathering and documenting user requirements and integrating new concepts in secure workplace design
  • Recommend optimal space planning and configuration, evaluate code compliance, review proposed layouts, and conduct periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans
  • Work cohesively with engineers to integrate the mechanical and electrical elements into a final product that exceeds customer expectations ensuring that the integrated design meets the customer's goals, objectives, and security requirements
  • Evaluate cost estimates and occasionally provide estimated costs for proposed projects
  • Project Management & Project Schedules
  • Design Reviews / Drawings, Specifications, Analysis, Submittals, Shop Drawings, Requirements Gathering and Documentation
  • Concept Creation / Space and Layout Planning
  • Code / Standards / Regulations Interpretation
  • Secure Environment / Security Requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance
    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
    • Min 5 years Facility engineering experience
    • CAD experience
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenging situations as they occur

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Cross-functional engineering discipline knowledge (including electrical systems) a plus
    • Briefing Senior Government/Military


Global Comp

$110,000- $145,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
