JOB SUMMARY


  • Provide comprehensive management of project site planning and construction.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10 years+ experience in a construction Superintendent role.
  • Construction Quality Management Certified



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Healthcare Construction Certification (CHC Certification, Healthcare Construction Project Management, etc.)
  • Previous experience with stormwater management and pollutant discharge prevention.
  • Ongoing NFPA training and education


KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES


  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule and on budget.
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with internal and external customers.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensure assigned projects are completed according to contract documents, including but not limited to plans, specifications, schedules, electrical codes, etc.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Group Managers, trade project managers, and vendors concerning any changes in project scope.
  • Work closely with members of Capital Electric Construction's project management team to monitor project job costs and project tracking.
  • Audit necessary site project cost coding for projects.
  • Participate in project meetings, communicating information to site personnel.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling employees, subcontract labor, subcontractor activities and material for efficient, effective project completion, coordinating with Project Managers and Field Operations Managers.
  • Supervise site labor personnel; directly supervise General Foremen and/or Foremen.
  • Mentor and train employees.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Investigate, report, and address any safety-related incidents.
  • Oversee material requisitions and handling.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are available on-site when needed. Work closely with other departments to facilitate tool and equipment availability and/or repairs.
  • Ensure timesheets are accurately completed, approved, and transmitted to payroll.
  • Prepare any necessary reports.
  • Safely drive company vehicles and/or transport equipment as needed
  • This position is required to drive.
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


  • Successful completion of OSHA-30, First Aid, and CPR training is required.
  • Successful completion of NFPA70E Training is required.
  • Background check, credit check, MVR, and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
  • May be required to submit to periodic background checks if position requires access to security sensitive business locations and/or systems.
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • This position may require occasional travel.
