Summary of Position
As Curium transitions from a traditionally diagnostic company towards an innovative and diverse therapeutic organization, the VP, Program Director Theranostics - NA will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams and leading NA preparation for the launch of our oncology assets. This role will be embedded as part of the Sr. VP, Global Assets Commercial Strategy's team but direct line report into the Global PMO. The VP will coordinate a team of project managers and team members to execute launch preparation for our oncology assets. This individual will have full accountability for executing the launch excellence program for Curium's oncology assets for the North American market. From launch-36 to launch +12 and reporting monthly outcomes, risks, opportunities to the Steering Committee and senior leadership.
Essential Functions
- Drive the strategy and ensures alignment across the product workstreams; manages the overall program scope, budget, schedule and timeline and escalation of risks.
- Coordinate a team of Project Managers executing launch excellence projects and provide oversight and ensure execution of the PMO governance and stage gate process for all projects.
- Present project status/issues/risks/opportunities to the Steering Committee and senior leadership teams and provide recommendations on project direction.
- Thought partner on strategy with SVP Global Assets Commercial Strategy. Role is expected to check and challenge partners to ensure launch process is hitting key milestones.
- Direct programs through corporate governance to ensure that projects have adequate resources and technical expertise to meet strategic objectives; coordinating across projects, maximizing synergies, and resolving resource conflicts.
- Responsible for all project team documentation: agendas, minutes, timelines, development plan, discussion aids, risk logs, and decision logs.
- Work with the clinical, regulatory, manufacturing and commercial teams to gather, organize, and prioritize customer/market needs that become part of product development and product lifecycle management.
- Manage external vendor relationships, as appropriate, coordinating the requirements across the functional groups and ensuring the vendor's successful execution.
- Through Project Management systems, capture and share information from each project to drive continuous improvement and best practices.
- Work with the Global PMO group to coordinate transfer of knowledge from NA to our international partners.
- Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor level degree in a related science or business discipline or equivalent training and formal experience required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 20 or more years of relevant experience in project/program management, portfolio management, commercial, pharmaceutical new drug development or related areas.
- Demonstrated experience managing programs totaling greater than $50M project budgets with significant contributions to EBITDA or equivalent budget responsibilities.
- Extensive experience managing cross-functional teams in developmental, commercial and program management contexts.
- Pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology professional with diverse leadership and technical skills in oncology, companion diagnostics as well as therapeutics preferred.
- Project Management Professional/PMP certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, conflict management, priority setting, strategic agility, building effective teams, managing vision and purpose.
- Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and experience with Project Management software.
Working Conditions:
- Approximately 50% travel if not based in St. Louis with domestic, and occasional international travel required.
- This position will work in typical office conditions with extensive time using personal computer equipment.
- May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time while performing duties.
- Close attention to detail required.
- Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
- The position deals with many deadlines. Due to the short turnaround time of deadlines and limited time, overtime, weekend work and holiday work is sometimes required.
