Join us as our new Lead Operator and Set Up Tech (Bottle Packing) This position plays a dual role in leading a weekend production line and ensuring efficient machine setups for dietary supplement manufacturing. This position combines leadership responsibilities with strong technical expertise. The e Lead will guide operators and drive safety and quality initiatives while ensuring production output matches planned daily targets. As a Setup Technician, this individual will perform machine setups, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and ensure compliance with FDA and 21 CFR Part 111 regulations. The ideal candidate will be a safety-first leader with mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to operational excellence. The weekend shift is Friday-Sunday with operating hours 5am-5pm each day In this role you'll make an impact by:
Lead Bottle Pack 3 production line operators by demonstrating and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Schedule and assign tasks, prioritize workload, and monitor results to meet production goals. Train and mentor team members on equipment functionality, operating procedures, and compliance requirements. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner with supervisors to support employee development. Demonstrate a safety-first, quality-always mindset and enforce compliance with company policies, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 111, and SOPs. Conduct quality checks during setups and production to ensure product standards are met. Ensure Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) compliance at all times. Support quality and compliance efforts during audits. Perform machine setups and changeovers following SMED principles to minimize downtime. Calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance. Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs; collaborate with maintenance teams on larger technical challenges. Operate production equipment as needed to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime. Generate and update controlled documents (SOPs, WIs, forms) for setup and equipment operation Utilize SAP/MRP systems to maintain accurate inventory and process records. Investigate discrepancies from inventory, and manage sample/scrap records. Maintain and update process documentation in the document management system. Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to increase productivity. Participate in Kaizen and lean manufacturing initiatives. Standardize best practices across the line and contribute to new product development trials.
To Succeed you must hold:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in a food, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical (preferred) in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of SMED and lean principles preferred. Experience with FDA regulations, GMP, and 21 CFR Part 111 compliance. Proficiency in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Ability to use SAP or similar MRP systems for inventory and production management. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Work schedule, lighting, temperature, and noise levels are moderate. Frequent entry into the production facility requires personal protective equipment to be worn at all times. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, and gloves. Work schedule is mainly weekend shift but may involve work on other shifts as part of overtime.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
