Centralized Appraisal Analyst

Position Overview:

The Appraisal Analyst serves as a critical component of JLL's centralized Appraisal Desk, maintaining independence throughout the appraisal process for agency loans (Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae) while ensuring compliance with established protocols and procedures. The analyst must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solicit bids from approved vendor firms for each appraisal request
  • Select and engage appraisal firms using independent discretion to maintain process integrity
  • Schedule property site visits after appraisal firm engagement
  • Manage all communications with appraisers
  • Monitor progress of appraisal reports to ensure deadlines are met
  • Work closely with production and underwriting teams to ensure appraisers have complete and accurate due diligence materials
  • Coordinate payment processing
  • Generate regular reporting on appraisal turnaround times, vendor performance metrics, and process efficiency
  • Support implementation of new technology platforms
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Assist with audit requests
  • Special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Willingness to learn new technology platforms and adapt to evolving systems
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining process integrity and compliance standards
  • Strong team player who collaborates effectively across production team, underwriting teams, and vendors
  • Superior time management skills and ability to operate under demanding deadlines

Education:

  • Minimum associate's degree (A.A.) or 2 years of related experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in commercial real estate or appraisal management
