Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The 'Snowcat Driver, Food & Beverage' operates Winter Park heavy snow-grading equipment (with attachments) in an efficient manner. This employee will be responsible for hauling trailers of food, beverage, supplies, to/from on-mountain facilities, in addition to recycling and trash dumpsters. The 'Snowcat Driver, Food & Beverage' will follow all Winter Park policies and procedures, all applicable laws (federal, state, and local), and all health and sanitation codes.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resort's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Hourly pay range: $22-$26/hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Maintain and secure warehouse operation(s)
  • Perform pre-operation checkout and fueling of vehicle
  • Manage delivery, inventory, and distribution of inventory
  • Transport proper trailers/loads/dumpsters safely to proper destinations
  • Check-in inventory for quality and quantity
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse
  • Inform mechanics of necessary repairs and/or service needed
  • Responsible for product quality, returns, and credits
  • Responsible for rotation, stocking, and labeling of goods in the receiving areas
  • Coordinate with Moffat Market Warehouse Foreman with the transportation of goods
  • Present a cooperative relationship with other snowcat operators & groomers.
  • Report any unsafe conditions regarding equipment and area of work, or elsewhere on the ski area
  • Be aware of area cleanliness and pick up trash
  • Be able to troubleshoot maintenance problems on the hill
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Haul and on-snow heavy machinery operation experience REQUIRED
  • Warehousing experience, esp. with Food & Beverage and/or ski resorts strongly preferred
  • Skiing or snowboarding experience strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's license and clean motor vehicle record required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer functionality required
  • Working knowledge of local liquor and health codes
  • Good working knowledge of kitchen and bar industry
  • Ability to work irregular hours, i.e. 5pm until midnight
  • Knowledge of keg systems
  • Snowmobile license or equivalent preferred
  • Must be 21 years of age or older


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
  • Two years warehouse experience with maintenance of equipment desired
  • Minimum six (6) months experience driving a snowmobile

  • Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
  • Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.
