Job Posting: Lab/Test Engineer I - Device Testing & Automation
Location: Redmond, WA Employment Type: Contract Experience Level: Entry to Mid-Level (0-2 years) About the Role Are you passionate about hardware, automation, and solving real-world engineering challenges? Join a dynamic device testing lab team that plays a critical role in onboarding and validating devices for high-impact internal projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to meaningful testing efforts, and grow your skills in a collaborative environment. What You'll Do * Participate in device onboarding and test coverage activities. * Maintain and debug devices across various operating systems. * Write automation scripts to streamline device setup and testing. * Attend team meetings and collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot and improve test processes. * Modify and interpret code in languages such as Python, C#, Ruby, or SQL. What We're Looking For Top Skills: * 2+ years of experience with any programming language (Python and TypeScript preferred). * Basic networking knowledge. * Hands-on experience with device management, especially Windows OS (familiarity with other OS is a plus). Bonus Skills: * Experience with Chef, Docker, or homelab setups. * Familiarity with Ruby, TypeScript, or C#. * Group policy management experience. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred (not required). * 0-2 years of relevant experience. * Strong aptitude for software testing and automation. * Ability to read and write code in at least one programming language. * Knowledge of software QA practices and PC hardware.
