Job Opportunity: Desktop Support Technician We're looking for a Desktop Support Technician to help maintain and support computer equipment at several office and facility locations in the Dane County area. What You'll Do * Fix and maintain desktop computers, laptops, and other devices. * Set up new computers to replace older ones. * Keep track of equipment and make sure old devices are recycled properly. * Use a ticketing system to manage and close support requests. * Follow clear guidelines and get support from a manager who oversees field technicians. Where You'll Work You'll be based at locations in Fox Lake, Plymouth, and Red Granite. You may also help out at other nearby offices when needed. Travel Info * You'll be paid for travel time and mileage (51 cents per mile). * You can use your own car or a company vehicle (if you have a good driving record). * A valid Wisconsin driver's license is required. Work Schedule Options You can choose one of these: * Four 10-hour days with Fridays off * Five 8-hour days * A 9-day schedule over two weeks with one Friday off What You'll Need * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours (not every day, but sometimes). * Strong skills in fixing desktop computers and helping people with tech issues. * Good communication and customer service. * Experience with audio/visual equipment is a bonus. Tech Skills We're Looking For * Windows 11 * Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) * Computer hardware * ServiceNow (ticketing system) * Microsoft Intune (device management) About the Role This is a long-term contract position. The team has been working together for many years, and some technicians have stayed in this role for over a decade. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
