*Job Title:* POS Deployment Technician - Credit Card Machines *Location:* New Haven, CT
*Duration:* 2 Months *Pay Rate:* $20/hr + $2/hr vehicle usage stipend (Total: $22/hr) *Start Date:* ASAP *Employment Type:* Contract *Project Overview:* We are hiring professional, reliable, and tech-savvy individuals to support a credit card machine (POS) deployment across multiple locations in the New Haven area. This short-term contract is perfect for someone looking to close out the year with hands-on technical work in a dynamic, customer-facing environment. *Responsibilities:* * *Deliver and deploy POS terminals* (credit card machines) to designated locations using your own vehicle. * *Install and set up hardware* including terminals, cables, and power connections. * *Verify functionality* of devices post-installation (e.g., test transactions, connectivity). * *Document deployments* and report any issues or delays to the project coordinator. * *Maintain inventory control* of devices assigned for delivery. * *Provide basic troubleshooting* support during installation. * *Ensure timely and accurate delivery* across multiple sites in New Haven. * *Interact professionally* with various departments and teams, representing the deployment team with a customer-service mindset. *Requirements:* * Must have a *reliable personal vehicle* and valid driver's license. * Strong *communication and presentation skills*. * Ability to lift and carry small equipment (up to 25 lbs). * Comfortable working independently and navigating multiple locations. * *Ideal candidate will have some technical expertise*-such as experience with hardware setup, IT support, or device configuration. * Prior deployment or field tech experience is a plus, but *not required*-we welcome *entry-level candidates* who are eager to learn and represent the team well. *Additional Details:* * Mileage is not reimbursed separately; the $2/hr stipend covers vehicle usage. * Candidates must be available for the full duration of the project. * Training will be provided prior to deployment. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
