Description - Onsite Role - 770 Garrison Ave, Bronx, NY Our customer, an appliance manufacturer and distributor, is seeking a talented and motivated Mid-Level Ruby on Rails Developer. In this role, you'll take ownership of projects from start to finish, contributing to both backend development, building scalable and secure Rails applications-and frontend development to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. Duties & Responsibilities: Design, build, maintain, and modernize web applications using Ruby on Rails and other modern technologies, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices. Develop and enhance both backend functionality and user-facing frontend features to create seamless, intuitive experiences. Own projects end-to-end - from gathering requirements and planning through development, and launch. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks effectively. Contribute to and lead projects on eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce) in addition to Rails-based applications. Skills* Ruby, Ruby on rails, Html, Front end, Restful, git, Development, Css, Javascript, Postgresql Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications: 3-5 years of professional experience developing web applications with Ruby on Rails 6+. Strong understanding of RESTful API design, implementation, and integration. Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using frameworks like RSpec. Experience working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and familiarity with Redis and job processing tools like Resque. Experience building and enhancing frontend user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to clearly document work and processes. Nice to Have / Bonus Skills: Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, NextJS). Experience with DevOps practices, such as server provisioning, monitoring, and deployment automation. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with integrating AI or machine learning APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure) into web applications. Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker). Familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
