We Require
Five years of experience in a legal setting with knowledge in legal preparations or legal proceedings High School Diploma or GED Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Other Requirements
The Maricopa County Attorney's Office requires a thorough background check of all successful candidates and is authorized to test prospective employees for the presence of illegally accessed drugs. Drug testing is conducted once an offer has been extended and before placement Valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire

Perform full range of supervisory responsibilities over assigned support staff Provide on-going training and mentoring to assigned support staff Monitor, direct and delegate the caseloads of assigned area Review cases processed by bureau staff, ensuring all legal deadlines are met and identifying data quality issues Research and prepare statistics (daily, weekly and monthly), monthly reports, evaluations Research and enter suspect information from various systems including PbK, ICIS, DOC and JWI Maintain communication with law enforcement partners and attorney charging bureaus regarding case status and questions Maintain a current Terminal Operator Certificate (TOC) license with the Department of Public Safety Act as backup for Legal Services Manager as assigned
Working Conditions
Mostly office setting that may require long periods of sitting while completing computer activities and moving about to perform tasks Ability to move up to 20 pounds from the floor to the waist and pushing/pulling 20 pounds a distance of up to 100 feet May be required to utilize the personal or County-owned vehicles to travel to and from other County locations
