Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shareholder to join our firm. The ideal individual will have a litigation background with additional experience in construction, franchise, business or estate law and a book of business to bring with them. Due to the nature of a Shareholder position, this person will be highly driven, results oriented and value autonomy! Shareholder Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop a book of business and manage personal case load.
  • Hire administrative or paralegal team as needed.
  • Manage team below as needed.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations with professionalism and precision.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
  • Communicate with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in the law and legal procedures.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of legal strategies.
  • Represent the firm in professional organizations and legal associations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in the Utah State bar association.
  • Ten (10+) plus years of litigation or related experience in a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Proven track record of successful case outcomes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures

Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Work Type: Hybrid/ Remote

Pay: Dependent upon caseload

Schedule: Dependent upon caseload
