Qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED
Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieves evidence and property from secure lockers and enters information into database.
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of all data/information received and researches and provides verification on information requests from department field personnel.
  • Preserves chain of custody, inventories, and audits evidence held by the Police Department.
  • Follows destruction of evidence laws and protocol.
  • Maintains Impound Lot security and integrity of evidence.
  • Provides assistance to the Police Department via telephone, and in person i.e., completing forms/applications, explaining policy and procedure, researching information and directing to appropriate entities for assistance.
  • Performs extensive record and report maintenance tasks.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
