Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Governmental Business Development Specialist for Microgrids in Richmond, Virginia. The Governmental Business Development Specialist is responsible for searching governmental bid sites, registering Carter with appropriate cage codes and business size, developing specific marketing action plans, creating and delivering presentations, proposals, etc., preparing quoting, ordering, expediting, and packaging requirements for governmental/military bids and RFQ's, working with Finance with setting up customer accounts and managing governmental invoicing entries and web service vendors. The individual in this role also assists in the development, promotion and management of all aspects of Governmental Sales system. Seeking candidates with a minimum two years experience with government/military procurement contracts and RFQs, required; College degree in related field, preferred.

Physical requirements must be met for the Governmental Business Development Specialist job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear.
