Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabric Cutter to join our furniture production team. This role is essential in ensuring precision and quality in the cutting of fabric patterns for upholstered beds, dining chairs, benches, and other residential furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut fabric patterns according to design specifications for various furniture items including beds, chairs, and benches.
  • Read and interpret pattern layouts, blueprints, and cutting instructions.
  • Select appropriate fabrics based on texture, durability, and design requirements.
  • Mark and measure fabric using templates, rulers, and cutting tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Operate cutting equipment such as electric fabric cutters, shears, and rotary blades.
  • Inspect fabric for defects before cutting and report any inconsistencies.
  • Organize and label cut pieces for efficient workflow and assembly.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety standards.


Qualifications

  • Experience in fabric cutting or upholstery production preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and measurements.
  • Familiarity with various fabric types and cutting techniques.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.


Work Environment

  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
