Torch Technologies is currently seeking a a Senior Program Manager in the Technology Development Business Unit (TDBU). The Senior Program Manager will serve as the Business Unit (BU) Deputy providing direct support to the BU Director managing the overall strategy, operations, and performance of the BU. This role ensures alignment with corporate objectives while driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence. TDBU operates the company's Technology Integration and Prototyping Center (TIPC) building complex which houses 80,000 square feet of corporate research laboratories, secure laboratories, high bays, and fabrication shops. The TIPC complex is AS9100D and ISO14001 certified.

As aSenior Program Manager your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Provide comprehensive program management oversight across the BU portfolio focusing on system engineering design, development, fabrication, and delivery of hardware and software solutions.

  • Identify, capture, and pursue growth opportunities for complex hardware and software solutions, including developing and maintaining strong Government and industry customer relationships.

  • Assist the BU Director with workforce development, identifying and mentoring high-potential candidates for future technical positions within the company.

  • Assist the BU Director with fostering an organizational culture of employee ownership and compliance with regulatory (e.g., FAR, DFARS, etc.), quality (AS9100D), environmental (ISO14001), and safety (e.g. OSHA) standards through effective training, communications, recognition, and employee engagement activities. Assist with the development of Key Performance Indicators, implementation of performance measurement frameworks, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across operational and quality processes.

  • As a senior leader within the BU, practice leadership by example by consistently demonstrating the company's core values of: Mission Focused, Ownership Minded, and Community Invested.

  • Act as a trusted advisor and stand-in for the Director, when required.

Job Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Advanced Business and/or technical Degrees.

  • 10+ years of engineering project management experience, to include development of integrated master schedules, basis of estimate and "bottoms up" project pricing, and project execution within budget and schedule.

  • Active DoD secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain Top-Secret clearance.

  • Demonstrated experience with electrical, mechanical, and/or optical design, prototyping, manufacturing, integration, and testing. Applicants should have experience managing prototyping and fabrication projects in compliance with a robust and efficient AS9100D quality management system.

  • Experience with developing capturing and developing proposals, winning, and executing a broad range of contract types for defense related programs.

  • Self-motivated, well organized, with good interpersonal skills, good communication skills (oral and written) and be capable of multi-tasking in a changing environment.

  • Eligible to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with environmental (e.g., ISO14001) and safety (e.g., OSHA) standards and implementation of environmental and safety programs.

  • Experience leading the development and manufacturing of flight and safety-critical hardware products.

  • Experience developing and executing highly compelling IR&D programs.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating and sustaining new hardware/software product business lines and familiarity with other markets.

  • Active Top-Secret clearance.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
