Canterbury Woods Retirement Community Hourly range: $21.00-$22.00 Summary: Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Assistant Supervisor, keeps premises of the facility, apartment houses, residential homes and other buildings on company grounds in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Competencies and skills: Essential: * Must be able to organize thoughts in a clear manner, effective oral and written communication skills; must possess public speaking skills; must be an active listener and possess conflict resolution/problem solving skills. * Knowledge of the aging process and its effect on our residents * Knowledge of the basic services provided by residential and skilled nursing facilities and other community agencies, ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
* Knowledge of community resources available * Knowledge and ability to train and to supervise other social service staff and volunteers as needed. * Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English * Ability to present concise and meaningful reports, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to accept and use professional supervision, consultation and in-service training; ability to relate appropriately and effectively to residents and their families, to other staff members, and to personnel of other community agencies. Credentials: Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
